너무 어려운 책을 읽으면 흥미를 잃고, 너무 쉬운 책만 읽으면 실력이 늘지 않아요. 렉사일 지수를 활용하면 딱 맞는 책을 찾아줄 수 있어요!
연구에 따르면, 자신의 렉사일 지수보다 50L 아래에서 100L 위 정도의 책을 읽는 것이 가장 적절하다고 해요. 이해할 수 있으면서도 약간 도전적인 수준이기 때문이죠.

In a small green forest, there lived a clever ant named Ziko. Ziko was not like the other ants. He liked to watch the ground carefully. One sunny morning, Ziko felt the earth move a little. It was not much, but he noticed tiny cracks in the soil. He quickly ran to his friend, Lira the ladybug. “Did you feel that?” Ziko asked. Lira shook her head. Ziko went to the big ant hill. He told the elder ant, Karo. “I think something bad is coming,” said Ziko. Karo looked at the ground. He felt a small shake too. His antenna moved a little. “Yes,” Karo said, “I feel it now. It might be a quake.” In nature, some animals can feel small changes before big disasters. Ants, for example, can sense tiny vibrations in the earth. This helps them know when a quake is coming. Karo blew a soft whistle, a special signal for the ant colony. The ants started moving fast. They carried their food and eggs to a safer place. Lira helped too. Even the bees flew away. Soon, the ground shook hard. The old hill fell down, but the ants were safe. Later, the animals thanked Ziko. “You saved us,” said Karo. From that day, all the forest animals listened to the ground, just like Ziko. |
